SYMBA is a Hit with Motorcycle Dealers!

It's a good thing I had a "press" badge for the Dealer Expo show - getting in an hour earlier than the dealers was the only way I could get on the SYMBA and have my picture taken without drawing a crowd. Once the doors opened, dealers flocked around the bike as if it was Jessica Alba in a string bikini handing out free beers! I took a bunch of photos, posted here, or you can view the slideshow below. News from Carter-SYM is good - a full line of SYMBA accessories is being prepared for us to customize our bikes, such as the longer seat, front and rear chrome racks, side cases, SYM-branded helmets and even apparel.
SYM dealerships should be receiving their initial shipments of SYMBAs in the next couple of months. I'm told that the exact timing depends on a number of factors, including how early your local dealer gets their order in - so if you want to be sure to get one, call your nearest SYM dealer soon!

  2. I am very jealous right now! Might sound like and odd question but, how tall are you? I was wondering how well I would fit on the seat, being 6 foot tall.

  3. Hi -

Yes, they have other colors than the holstein - not sure about the whole selection but I know all black is one of them.

I am 5' 10" and felt more comfortable on the Symba with the long seat option.

  4. Might be a little cramped with the saddle set. Like you said, probably ride with the bench seat on like I do with my Yamaha U5 Pal (Ha, Cub clone!).

  5. Great pictures of the details! Looks like a nice product and I hope their sales do well. The head light does look like an after thought and it would help to have gear indicator lights.
On the engine it says designed in Taiwan. Does that mean it could be built in China or somewhere else?

  6. I put your question to SYM and they reply that the Symba is, and will continue to be, made exclusively in Taiwan.

  7. Oh, and my understanding regarding the headlight is that it was made necessary by updated DOT requirements based on the maximum speed (55+ MPH) of the Symba.

  9. Andrea -

I'll pass that on to SYM. Maybe the next model year Symba line up will have more color choices.
